Maple Project Solutions Ltd are contracted to support delivery of Dawnay Schools Heat Decarbonisation Plan (HDP)
The Dawnay School located in Surrey caters for both Infant and Junior aged children with up to 300 pupils and staff in residence.
In 2020, the school asked Maple Project Solutions Ltd for support with the application of the Public Sector Low Carbon Skills Fund de-carbonisation scheme through the Salix organisation and a proposed Heat Decarbonisation Plan (HDP) to develop and deliver 10 Category 2 and Category 3 Energy Saving Projects across the two school buildings.
Our involvement included:
- Review the current building energy consumption, analysis and detailed costing of the proposed energy saving projects
- Draft and submit the HDP to the Low Carbon Skills fund governing body
The proposed HDP efficiency measures included proposing a variety of low carbon technologies including:
- Loft Insulation improvements
- Solar PV Installation
- Pipework Insulation
- New energy efficient Hand dryers
- LED lighting and controls upgrades
- Solar Thermal heating systems
- Building Energy Management Controls
- Lighting Controllers
- Roof/Loft insulation in Junior School
- External Wall Insulation
- Sub metering inc. Automatic Monitoring and Targeting (aM&T) software
- Battery Energy Storage System BESS
